Three Mountains Organization has purchased land at the base of Mount Cristo Rey.
Future projects planned for these historic grounds include:
Purchase of historical building structures near Sunland Park for the purpose of creating a visitor's center that provides education on the geographical, geological, historical and cultural significance of the region.
Further exploration and preservation of the various types of dinosaur tracks that have been identified at the base of Mount Cristo Rey.
Restoration work on the land, including clean up programs to get a park up and running, and clearing a new trail to connect into El Paso's existing Paseo del Norte trail system.
Adding art work and educational programming for the community to enjoy as they discover the unique area around the Franklin Mountains, a small 23 mile wide range that extend from El Paso, Texas north into New Mexico.
